about

The Phlowers …Eh is the culmination of a year-and-a-half long recording process with sessions taking place at various locations across the Phoenix metro area. From living rooms to garages, guest bedrooms, hallways, bathrooms, and rehearsal studios this ever-changing environment is evident in every second of …Eh. From the moment the proggy punk opener “Waooo” blasts into the space surrounding your ears you will be hooked. The double entendre driven “Daisies” and the alt-country meets metal “Gay (Not Sad)” follow with equal intensity. The speedy “One Bad Motha” takes it to the next level before letting up ever so slightly with the surf metal ode to San Diego’s Mission Beach titled “Surf Club”. The second half of the album hits the ground running with prog-esque “Jomo” followed by the mult-layered punk metal track “The Art of Giving Up”. A blues progression sets the soundtrack to a story of adolescent sexual misdirection and general confusion in “Stick It In Here”. “Cripplefight!” is a fast paced, fun, punk scorcher that gives way to California sunshine with a surf metal closer titled “Whale Tail”. From start to finish …Eh is an eclectic mix of musical genres that make it a must listen for any fan of metal and punk as well as fans of high energy alt, experimental, and surf rock. A true musical representation of the color brown.
